Nabeel Rajab,
President of BCHR and GCHR and FIDH Deputy Secretary General, was invited to
participate but was unable to travel as he is in prison, awaiting a court
hearing on 20 May and 22 May

Objective:
To raise awareness with media to generate attention to press Bahrain to end
human rights violations, specifically against freedom of expression and
assembly; and to provide an opportunity for Bahrain and international rights
defenders to speak and to coordinate further lobbying action.
