The Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) is an independent regional non-governmental organization founded in 1994. It aims at promoting respect for principles of human rights and democracy and disseminating a human rights culture in the Arab region.

The Annual Summer Course aims at educating the target youth with exploring, understanding, and discussing fundamental human rights concepts linked to human dignity, tolerance and respecting differences. It also develops a conceptual and operational framework for applying a human rights based approach in the field of interaction with Egyptian youth.
