A quarterly intellectual periodical focusing on human rights issues. It contributes to the growing human rights movement in the Arab region and responds to the need for researchers and active debates over human rights in general and within the Arab World in particular. It mainly aims at: 1- Contributing to bolstering human rights values in the Arab World; 2- Developing a rational interpretation of the Arab-Islamic legacy from a human rights perspective; 3- Promoting an Arab perspective vis-à-vis the philosophy and principles of human rights, to enable Arabs to take part in this domain in such a way as to focus on Arab problems and their cultural precedence; 4- Revealing problems hindering the diffusion and entrenchment of human rights principles and values in the Arab World; 5- Studying the problematic raised by the application of human rights within Arab societies.
